    The midwest is known for its casseroles. Breakfast of course needed its own addition! This is a family favorite and versitile for family life or entertaining. This can be prepped ahead and thrown in the oven as guests arrive for a hot and ready to eat breakfast. We love this recipe as meal prep for the week - its easy to slice and reheat in the microwave the next day too!

    Preheat the oven to 350(f) degrees

    Cook the ground sausage until brown. Then put on a paper towel covered plate to drain the grease.

    In the same pan cook the shredded hash browns until lightly brown.

    Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spary and place the cooked shredded hash browns spread evenly on the bottom.

    Layer the cooked ground sausage on top of the hash browns.

    In a separate bowl, crack 10 eggs, mix with 2 cups of milk and mix until all the egg yolks are broken and it is a nice even color.

    Pour the milk egg mixture over the hash browns and sausage trying to evenly spread it.

    Spread the 2 cups of shredded cheese over the egg mixture trying to have it be evenly spread.

    Put the pan in the oven and bake until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees, about 40 minutes
