• Cookie Butter Puppy Chow

Prep time: 5 Minutes Cook time: 3 Minutes Servings: 12

While I love the classic take on puppy chow with the peanut butter and chocolate combination, I have been on the hunt for an alternative my entire family can enjoy. My husband has a peanut and tree nut allergy. While cookie butter isn't 100% safe, as it is often manufactured in the same facility and sometimes equipment, it has been a good alternative for our family.

For parties, we love to serve this in the little plastic wine cups for individual portions that people can easily grab and take with them!

    Ingredients:

    Instructions:

In an extra large bowl, empty the entire box of cereal.

In a microwave safe bowl, combine both jars of cookie butter with the bag of chocolate chips. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between until it is smooth and melted together.

Add the vanilla extract to the melted chocolate and cookie butter mixture and stir until combined.

Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir gently until the chocolate has coated the cereal.

Add in the powdered sugar and gently stir to combine. If you prefer, you can dump this full mixture into the zip top bag to help mix around by hand.

Enjoy! It stores well in the zip top bag for 3 to 5 days.
